Once upon a time, in the far away land of Russia, a girl named Anastasia was born. She moved to the United States with her parents when she was very young, and grew up in the Denver metro area of Colorado. Anastasia liked to play tetris, tennis, work on her calculus homework, and dream about owning a cat and living out her own version of the characters' lives from the show Gossip Girl on the Upper East Side. After college in Colorado where she studied Math and Computer Science, Anastasia got a job as a software engineer and faced adulthood. She had a quarter life crisis in her late 20s when she ran way to explore the world and blog about it, mostly by herself. She got lonely and decided to move to the great city of New York to realize her childhood dreams, with her cat Boris, and to find her true love. She found her grounding as a pool player, and searched for love on dating apps.

Josh was born in America, Chicago specifically, but he grew up in Albany, NY, and moved to New York City with dreams of being a music producer. He loves music, literature, and comedy; and he is learning (very slowly) how to speak Russian and how to play pool (he is not very good). Josh loves collecting records and every once in a while he will DJ somewhere in the city under the alias Joshua Tree. He is a lifelong Cowboys fan (because they were good when he started watching football at 6 years old), and after working right next door to Madison Square Garden for the past ten years he has become an avid Knicks fan.

Anastasia and Josh's story began in the summer of 2022 when the magic algorithms of the internet brought them together. While they were planning their 2nd date Josh accidentally missed one of Anastasia's text messages and when he finally saw it he messaged back to apologize. Unfortunately his "hey there, sorry" text was auto-corrected into "hey there, sport"! But luckily Anastasia WAS a great sport! And what followed was an amazing date with rock climbing, drinks on the town, and lots of laughter!

Two years later and Anastasia and Josh have grown so much and they continue to laugh and explore together! Whether it is Anastasia teaching Josh to play pool, Josh showing Anastasia the hidden gems of his record collection, biking together through the five boroughs, or hiking the highlands of Scotland, they continue to grow and share in so many ways. They are both good sports ;) and are always open to trying and sharing new experiences with each other. Anastasia and Josh are so excited to bring their families and friends together to celebrate their love!
